Status Cancelled/Lost

Bakugan is a toy series released by Sega Toys and Spin Master in 2006. The success of the toys spawned a few anime series by the same name from 2007 to 2012. In 2010, a live-action film was announced by Warner Bros.[1] Harald Zwart, director of the Karate Kid remake, is allegedly the director.[2][3]

No further updates have been released since the 2010 announcement.[4] Zwart's IMDb page doesn't even mention the film (as of April 2016)[5] and a release date has not been announced.[6] As such, it's unknown whether or not the film will be released anytime soon or if the film has been quietly canceled.

Zwart. And it's extremely likely to have been cancelled by now.

Thank you, good catch. And I agree, I only added the page because I'm writing everything that was on the Lost films request page, so someone at some time was interested in it.

Well... I know it was wanted once upon a time, but the definition of this being a lost piece of media is extremely tenuous. Especially as it seems like more of a concept some executives were coming up with rather than an actual piece of footage that has been entirely lost. :/

Considering that Mechtanium Surge was the final instalment in the TV series and there hasn't been any new Bakugan material, I guess it's safe to call this canceled but...would this really count as lost media since there's no trace that the film ever actually entered production?

Ahh yes, I actually was going to edit this film, It was cancelled just after the editing process began, they decided to quietly cancel it because they feared it would hurt their brand otherwise, I may still have some clips of this film on my old PC, I don't recall ever deleting them or getting rid of said PC
