In 1993, Brandon Lee was on the set of The Crow, his first and ultimately final starring role, filming an action scene. In the middle of a stunt, a gun that was thought to not be loaded accidentally went off, hitting Lee directly. He was rushed to the hospital and died later that day.

His death was caught on camera and allegedly destroyed under the insistence of director Alex Proyas. Some of the cameramen claim otherwise, though, one even claiming he still owns a copy of the footage. Either way, no footage of the death has surfaced.

I believe the photo in question turned out to be either a fake or taken from another movie he did. Besides, wasn't Lee shot in the chest and not face, so why would blood be covering his face.

Comment from the old wiki (I don't usually lurk there, I just remembered this from a while ago): "That photo was debunked years ago, it's from a production still of the film Legacy of Rage, merely cropped and rotated. "
