Catscratch is an American animated television series created by Doug TenNapel (known for creating Earthworm Jim). It is a lighthearted adaption of TenNapel's graphic novel, Gear, which is also the name of the cats' monster truck. It aired on both Nickelodeon and Nicktoons in 2005, as well as Nickelodeon UK/Ireland in 2006.

In 2004, Doug TenNapel produced a pilot episode that featured early designs of the cats, Human Kimberly, Hovis, and Waffle's newts. The pilot's plot is unknown, but it was allegedly centered on the cats going to a toy store and meeting Human Kimberly.

The entire pilot hasn't resurfaced anywhere, online or otherwise. A trailer for the pilot was uploaded onto the Slappy Pictures website on May 10th, 2006 and TenNapel's own YouTube account on November 12th, 2009.

On March 23rd, 2018, Doug TenNapel uploaded the pilot onto his Vimeo channel, the pilot turned out to be an animation reel he pitched to Nickelodeon.
