Cup of Idiocy was one of Doug Walker's (Nostalgia Critic) home movies, the movie was a couple of shorts such as one where there was an Alien Invasion a Ribbon show or a sketch called a Pointless Moment.

Plot

The Movie is about random shorts and sketches, which are named Battle of Stupidity, Pointless Moments, The Unfit Firing Squad, A Ribbon Show, Late Late So Late Its Early Show, Jonan, and The Last Man on earth. Each of these shorts are filmed with Doug and his friends and possibly the early concept of Chester. Even though they showed almost the whole movie there are a lot of scenes that weren't shown, with one of them being a scene where someone was punching up clay people.

History

The film was first shown in Nostalgia Critics review of A Simple Wish, later the film was fully reviewed on The Awesoming DVD where Doug fully reviewed his old home movie. However since Doug mostly cuts some scenes out of movies he reviews this may not be the full movie. Also, in the Alice in Wonderland review Doug (as Nostalgia Critic) finds a flash drive which may contain Cup of Idiocy (and his room) which he replied "Oh, my God, I thought I had these destroyed after Wilsongate." (which was the Simple wish Review). Fans have been wondering if the actual Movie will be released to the public, which may never happen because Doug doesn't seem to want this to be released.

no, you "want" this. "we" absolutely do not "need" something made by an unfunny 30-something nerd when he was a child for his own amusement.

In the review, nostalgia critic said it was made in "Seattle during the grunge era" so that should hopefully help with the date

I'm not certain myself, but I'd assume it was the time between when nevermind was released and Kurt Cobain's suicide.

I think you guys are looking at it wrong... the biggest key here is that Doug said he made it in 6th grade. 6th graders are typically 11-12 years old, and since Doug was born on November 17, 1981, we could assume that he was 12 through the majority of that school year... so that'd make 1993 the most likely year, right? (disclaimer: it's 1 a.m. and it's entirely possible i made a big mistake somewhere in that)

Guess what? None of us care. I don't like gravity falls, avatar the last Airbender, star VS the forces of evil, adventure time and Steven universe but you don't see me demanding to have stuff taken down.

The thing is, I only demand articles to be taken down not because I don't like the media in question but when I notice plagiarism or spot a hoax, for instance the non-existent "cancelled" Nintendo 64 port of SpongeBob SquarePants: SuperSponge was made by a vandalized edit to the Wikipedia article that has long been removed from the article itself.

In other words, I care about the quality and credibility of this wiki to avoid getting into trouble with other sites for hoaxes created by the author of the article and plagiarism stealing the works of other websites without giving them credit afterwards.

I'm not, I just wanted to give out the reason why I am doing the same but purely for credibility and quality reasons. As far as I can tell, nothing is wrong with this page except it needs more content.
