Kingdom Hearts: V Cast was an unofficial entry in the Kingdom Hearts game series made exclusively for the Verizon Wireless V Cast cellphone network. It was released in Japan on October 1, 2004, and in the United States on February 4, 2005. It was made by Disney Interactive and Superscape without Square-Enix thus making it non-canon in relation of the series. The V Cast network was disbanded in 2012 and caused the game to be unable to download from that point on and thus caused it to be lost. No dump of the game is known to exist on the internet.

Little is known about the game except that:

  • It takes place during the first Kingdom Hearts as a dream sequence
  • Worlds included: Swordman's Island, Wonderland, Agrabah, and Maleficent's Fortress.
  • Unique characters and bosses included: Swordman Parrot, the Caterpillar, and the cobra form of Jafar.

UPDATE: On July 13th, 2016 Youtuber KHCentral uploaded a video stating that someone by the username "Wedge" on the 4Chan KH community ripped and uploaded the game's files to the internet, but also states no emulator has yet been made to support it.

UPDATE: The files have been uploaded to MEGA, and the link can be found on http://forums.khinsider.com/kingdom-hearts-general/211584-kingdom-hearts-v-cast-game-files-ripped.html However, there is seemingly no emulator that can play it at the moment.

Some time ago a dump was found of at least some of the files in the game. http://forum...-ripped.html. The problem of course is that there isn't a functional V-Cast emulator but the models could still be viewed so there's something at least. https://www....=38E5k1hRPJY. At some point this content will be available and no longer lost once/if an emulator is made that can play the game properly.

I was about to make comment about that. But yeah, that means we shouldn't be too worried.

You can play it on a Verizon phone if you put the files in the right place, but i don't have one.

From what people are saying is the files uploaded on Mega are the First chapter only. If you progress in the game Chapter 2 will overwrite Chapter 1 for example. So we'd eventually have to find 3 other individuals that stopped in Chapters 2-4.

Sadly it seems no progress has been given to get Chapter 1 working with an emulator. I'm sure it would be hard to do though.

I'm guessing we should then change the status to either partially found or partially lost because while the files are indeed found, the fact that the V Cast Network seems almost impossible to emulate due to the old nature of how Verizon phones store data.
