Fish Tales is a 1936 American animated short film directed by Jack King, starring Porky Pig. The film's score was composed by Norman Spencer.

Plot

Porky's going fishing, but his boat careens out of control. He finally settles in and quickly catches several fish, then falls asleep with his line in the water. While he sleeps, a fish catches a dream version of Porky and takes him home to the fish's family. Porky narrowly escapes, but has run-ins with other marine life, only to awaken and throw his catch back.

Availability

Although this short can be found online in black and white, the colorized 1968 version of this short can not be found.

The only known sources for it existing is from a website which covers different redrawn cartoon shorts and screenshots of the short.

Although this short has aired on channels in the 80s, as well as Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network, it is unknown if anyone has a copy of it or has it recorded when it aired on TV.

Thank you, and there is a Computer Colorized version of this cartoon out on the internet. It should be noted that the title screen is a dark green instead of the light blue in the missing cartoon.

If CN had it back in the day then maybe the Latin America Turner channel "Tooncast". Anyways, Turner has been updating looney tunes shorts for Boomerang (new), their new streaming service, etc. Hopefully a colorized version can appear somewhere.
