A computer-animated Feature Presentation ident by National Amusements was shown before movies at theaters owned by the company, including Showcase, from the early 2000's up until 2011 (2008 in Showcase Cinemas), in which it was permanently replaced.

Availability

The ident first surfaced on a bootleg copy of Step Up 2: The Streets online, recorded from a camcorder in presumably an NA-owned theater, but this was eventually taken down. On March 18th, 2017, YouTube user Anakin Solaris came across the specific bootleg and uploaded the ident on YouTube.

Prior to the rediscovery, YouTubers RkivUnderground and TRMM2 attempted to recreate the ident from scratch. Rkiv arranged the score based on his memory and shared it to YouTube on December 11th, 2011, while TRMM2 created several animations for it based on Rkiv's score and description of the logo. thekirbyfan98 made a couple of attempts to recreate the ident based on Rkiv's 2011 score. When Anakin Solaris rediscovered the actual ident, these recreations were proven inaccurate.

Does anyone have the actual copy of the real ident? I'd appreciate it if you post a link for me. (Also, do you know what it looks like?)

Yes I do. It looks like this: White flash in the beginning then dots form and the background aqua blue or blue then the lights move to the right then the n logo shows up then... That's it.

Is this the same anonymous user? (Are you Anonymous User #1?) If it is, do you have the copy of the REAL ident? If you don't, how about contacting National Amusements AND Showcase?

I don't understand. Is it that you don't have the video OR that you don't have a youtube account? If you don't have a youtube account, just make one. It's easy and simple! And after you make an account, upload the ident. (IF YOU HAVE IT.)

Only here would people care this much about some random corporate logo.

The animation must be incredible though.

People like this "random" logo is because it is nostalgic! That includes ME. It brings back memories!

@Anon(s): Fair enough I guess, and I'd be lying if I didn't like looking at a few old logos every now and then, but it's just kind of odd to see this much attention on such a random (to me) piece of lost media.

@Kobochat: Touche.

Can anyone please contact NA or Showcase and ask them if they'd have the Feature Presentation bumper? I think it will make a lot of people happy (especially Lost Media members)!

If people clicked the video's title, then they'd see your name on the Youtube page, but ok.

Hey TRMM2! IF you do another attempt, follow everything in MY description of the ident, except make the dots and backgrounds move RIGHT instead. Must've mistaken my sense of direction! Sorry! (TRMM2 Official is Anonymous User #6, if you don't know.) Hope you still make V3 of the trailer!

Why not download a anti-virus software (You may not if you have one already) and look for results of the Step Up 2 CamRip?

It's pretty risky, but I don't recommend that you get viruses.

Sorry if this is off-topic, but have you seen a YouTube/Newgrounds flash cartoon called "Fire"? The show is about the misadventures of a green humanoid cat and a guy named "Chocolate".

If you came across it or remember seeing it, let me know. There needs to be a page on the old 2009-2012 cartoon "Fire".
