SpongeBob SquarePants: SuperSponge (Cancelled 2001 Nintendo 64 Game)
|Box art of the PlayStation Version of the Game|
SpongeBob SquarePants: SuperSponge is a 2001 platformer game developed by Climax Group and published by THQ and Nickelodeon for the PlayStation and Game Boy Advance. The game combined 2D characters and 3D backgrounds.
A Nintendo 64 port was planned, but was ultimately cancelled. Two likely reasons include both the limitations of the N64 and the fact that the GameCube was coming out not two months later.
Not much is known about the Nintendo 64 version and how different it would've been.
