The Backyardigans is a Canadian-American television series that aired on Nick Jr. from 2004 to 2010.[1] Like several other Nick Jr. shows, including Oswald, Wonder Pets!, and Blue's Clues, it was allegedly dubbed for the UK market in an effort to not confuse children on pronunciation. Lizzie Waterworth, Janet James, and Maria Darling are believed to be the voice actors for the protagonists of the show.

While the theme song for the dub has been uploaded to YouTube (and can be viewed below) there are no full episodes available to view online of this dub. Some have reported on its existence, but it is unknown if any episodes were officially released with the British dubbing.

American TV shows for infants tend to get re-dubbed in the UK. They even re-dubbed Lazy Town so that the puppets speak with British accents

Yeah that's because parents/educational groups believe that pre-schoolers have to watch TV dubbed in their local dialect or else there'll be confusion in their minds and they may adopt an American accent. Idk. Spanish does the same, I remember Mexican dubbing broadcast on some EU Spanish channels and it's weird to hear when it's usually dubbed into EU Spanish

They didn't dub Robbie Rotten's voice - only the puppets, like Stingy and Ziggy. Sorry to burst your bubble :(

@Anonymous 3, it's completely normal for mature movies and shows to have two Spanish dubs: one for Latin America (often made in Mexico), and another for Spain.
