Status Partially Found

A CGI-animated pilot episode for The Backyardigans (then titled Backyardigans) was produced in 2002. It was based upon another declined pilot from 1998 called Me and My Friends.

Little is known about the pilot, though some footage is found in a video that has since been deleted. Some screenshots do exist. Also of note is that Austin the Kangaroo seems to be completely absent, even from concept art.

The video also has "Me and My Friends" which is also lost. Thank you so much for finding this. I wish we can find full episodes of both videos.

A video with the same name and icon seems to be on YouTube, but the pilot clip is only a few seconds.

There might be something here. Seems VERY sketchy, but there's a small chance.

i think before I was born, my second cousin from my Dad's side kinda watched the pilot. I don't know really about if he had watched it one day when I saw LSuperSonicQ's video about the lost pilot, I thought about after i finished watching the video the next day, I asked him about him seeing the pilot and he said he may had saw it before changing the channel to watch something else, then I showed SuperSonic's video to him and he said it looked familiar. after the video, he now understood of what I had said about the pilot and he said that he used to record tv programs on his camera once and had them in his old cameras, he said that it was inside of one of his cameras but the camera that had the pilot inside was out of damaged and the little chip that has data of it was broken too. He still doesn't know if he had recorded the pilot just for fun or when he was bored? We may never know, but he does know its lost. One day my friends, it might be released on a sketchy website.

one day...

This pilot is claimed to be unaired but under the circumstances of it being aired it would be cool to see it.
