Cover to Club Nintendo (Mexico) Year 5, Issue 3 (Date: March, 1996)

Status: Lost

In 1995, Funimation produced a dub of the original Dragon Ball in hopes to capitalize the success of the series like it has in the rest of the world in the United States. It was done for 13 episodes and a year later, they dropped Dragon Ball and decided to dub over Dragon Ball Z and the rest would be history.

But somewhere in between this transition, there was going to be a fully translated version of Dragon Ball Z: Super Butōden 2 for the SNES released around the time Dragon Ball Z started. The game mainly features characters and stories from the Cell Saga.

No real information has appeared other than a cover story in the Mexican Edition of Club Nintendo, Dated March 1996 (Year 5, issue 3). Some of the changes included calling Brolly "Tara" and Mr. Satan "Saron". Other than that, no other info has appeared since. The likely theory is that his would of been to capitalize on the french edition of the game, released 2 years earlier in Europe and ether cold feet or fear people will be confused with the characters on screen not representative of the product on-screen in the animation at the momment of the planend publishing timeframe (which would of been right at the start of Dragon Ball Z for american viewers)
