Warhead 2000 is a canceled unofficial James Bond film written by Kevin McClory. The film was to star someone besides Sean Connery, who McClory called "too old" for the role, and it was rumored that Timothy Dalton might reprise his role. It was also intended as a remake of the 1965 Bond film Thunderball.[1]

McClory and Sony, his production company, were met with rights issues from MGM over the legal usage of the Bond character. Lawsuits delayed production until 1999, when Sony ceded all rights to make Bond films to MGM.[2]
