Bear and the Big Blue House (partially lost Disney puppetry TV series; 1997-2006)
Bear in the Big Blue House was a puppet TV series made by the Jim Henson Company for Playhouse Disney. The show aired in 1997, and ended in 2006.
The show aired episodes regularly through 2003 until the actress for the character Luna had suddenly died, and so the show was put on indefinite hiatus, while Breakfast with Bear had its run.
The show returned in 2006 and aired its last 8 episodes. Despite airing in 2006, when recording hardware was very common, only one of these episodes has been found in English.
The show was very similar in style to Mister Roger's Neighborhood. Each episode had a different theme, segments flowed from one to another, and each episode usually had at least one unique song. Some would have more, there were some songs that were used in multiple episodes, and there are a couple of episodes that had no songs. Every episode had at least a Shadow segment and Luna segment. There are some episodes that have only shown up in the Shadow segment.
Many episodes are found in other languages, which is a start, but the show's original language is English, so the English dub of these episodes is still considered missing.
