Status Partially Found

Bobb'e Says was a live-action clip series hosted by Bobb'e J. Thompson that aired on Cartoon Network from August 19, 2009 and ended September 23 2009. It was part of the CN Real block and is one of Cartoon Network's shortest lived live-action series along with BrainRush, both only running for six episodes.

Premise

The series featured Bobb'e exploring the streets of California and giving advice to local residents through the means of commentating over sports clips and internet videos. It gathered negative reviews and low viewership levels, which lead to the show's eventual cancellation.

Availability

During CN Real's life, the show was available on iTunes and other streaming platforms[1]. With the demise of CN Real, all episodes were nowhere to be found. It was eventually removed off of iTunes. The only available footage of the show is from commercials and clips from Thompson's official YouTube account. Out of the six episodes, only one is available, albeit with only two clips.

Lost media that's trapped on a VHS (or in this case, an itouch), my favorite kind of lost media (even though the series was quite terrible).

I don't know if it's irony or what, but these days I look back fondly on the Marcus Rivers PSP campaign and think Bobb'e J. Thompson was a pretty funny kid. It'd be interesting to see if this series has the same weird appeal for me.

I remember seeing a Ben Rants video about Bobb'e Says. He said it was a ripoff of America's Funniest Home Videos.

Not having cable in 2009 was both a good thing and a bad thing it seems

Who would have know that a series would become lost just because of negative reviews......

Now that i think about it, 2009 was a great year for cartoon network lost media, ironically enough.

This show and the other ones would have for better on Nickelodeon, Disney Channel, or Discovery Kids. I think those CN REAL shows' criticism largely stems from the fact that they were on a cartoon-only channel. A channel where live action was (and still is) forbidden by default. Shows with concepts like Bobb'e Says, Dude, What Would Happen and Destory Build Destroy would've worked elsewhere. Nonetheless, it would be interesting to see this show be found completely.

Found some more online store pages. Neither of them let you buy it but they're still up at least.

http://www.c...s/index.html also found this page on CN's site. It looks pretty broken though.

The website I remember going to back then. If you go to web archive, the videos are available but can't be played.
