Ahhh, finally an article I can contribute too!

When it comes to Action 52 for the Super Nintendo, the answer is NO, it does not exist.

A little about myself: I got really into Active Enterprises when I started game collecting in 2008. For some reason, Active and their lofty expectations always fascinated me. From promising $104,000 to someone who could beat "Ooze" on NES, to their promise of a borderline impossible to produce (for the time) portable console: there was something about their ambition and underwhelming results that made me want to know more. Unfortunately, everyone involved with Active Enterprises was super hush-hush for the longest time, as illustrated by the original Active Enterprises researcher Andrew Harris. Read his (super amusing) article trying to contact the key figures for all of Active's projects here: http://www.nesworld.com/ae-search.php

Harris, along with Dave Allwein, ran an amazing website full of information regarding Active Enterprises titled "Cheetahmen Corner," where after some time Jay Olbernote (who still runs Far Sight Studios to this day), finally agreed to participate in a small interview regarding his involvement with Active Enterprises. Here you will see that Action 52 on SNES never started, however, the very illusive Sports 5 (another Active Multi-cart) was "in a barely-playable state before things went sour with Active." Here's a link to an archive of the interview: http://web.archive.org/web/20090706095621/http://cheetahmen.silius.net/obernolte.html

While you're there, be sure to check out the rest of the site as these two were THE pioneers for all information tied to Active Enterprises, Action 52 & The Cheetahmen.
