Legendary cartoon director Tex Avery directed multiple commercials during the 1950s and 60s during the dark age of animation. While most of them can be found, some of them are lost.

Commercials

According to the 1975 issue of Film Comment magazine, Avery directed a series of commercials for the bug spray brand Raid, produced by Warner and MGM veteran Jack Zander, where the spray became numerous instruments of death. The Raid commercial and the Kool Aid commercials can be partially found online. His earliest commercials was for a toothpaste brand called Pepsodent. ^[1]

He is known for making the first ever Raid commercial.

Avery produced Kool-Aid commercials with Bugs Bunny and Elmer, 2 decades after he helped bring personality to the characters. This is a commercial from 1964 animated by his colleague Rod Scribner and Jones animator Ben Washam.
