Status: Existence Unconfirmed

A prayer commercial about Polish Catholic nun Faustina Kowalska (1905-1938) was aired on television at around 2000 during at the time of her canonization.

Info

There is little information about the commercial. The commercial, about one minute in duration, was narrated by female voice-over, focusing on life about Faustina Kowalska, who was canonized as a saint on April 30, 2000.[1] There is a scene showing a pan shot of the image of Faustina, with, according to the viewers, the text is shown in the foreground saying:

Diary of St. Faustina Entry 1075: Souls who spread the honor of My mercy I shield through their entire lives as a tender mother her infant, and at the hour of death I will not be a Judge for them, but the Merciful Savior.

The commercial ends with an image of Faustina praying in front of Jesus Christ, and a crucifix in the middle of it with the words "AMDG" (Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam) displaying on top of it. The head of the crucifix is, however, obscured by the small white cross (similar to Swiss cross). There is said to be a Tagalog version of the commercial.[2]

Availability

The Faustina Kowalska prayer commercial was aired in 2000 on ABS-CBN every afternoon. While the commercial has not resurfaced as of 2022, no concurrent evidence of this commercial online has resurfaced other than testimonies from Filipino viewers.[2][3]
