Status: Lost

Geographically Speaking was a travel series that originally aired on WNBT-TV in New York City on June 9, 1946 and aired Sundays at 8:15 pm EST following the game show Face to Face.[1]

Premise

The show was hosted by a world traveler named Mrs. Wells. In each episode, Mrs. Wells would narrate her home videos that she and her husband shot while traveling the world. The show ran until December of 1946 when Mrs. Wells ran out of film to present.[2]

Availability

Geographically Speaking was never archived. No episode of the series is known to survive, as it was broadcast live and there was no way to record live TV until the development of kinescopes in 1947. As it stands, no photos or recordings of the show exist.
