Jeunes années was a children's programming block from France, which aired on the third French channel, which was at the time "La troisième Chaîne couleur de L’ORTF" or the third (colored) channel of the ORTF. It was the first children’s programming block of the third channel (and the only of the third channel of the ORTF, as its successor "FR3 Jeunnesse" aired on France Régions 3). The programming block aired from 1 January 1973 to 4 January 1975 (almost for as long as the channel it aired on).

Jeunes années would air from 6:55 PM to 7:10 PM, then from 6:40 PM to 6:50 PM on every day, except Sunday. It would broadcast cartoons such as Arago X-001, Les aventures de Colargol, but also live-action series such as Roulotte, Les aventures de Saturnin and L’ile aux enfants. It is said to have replaced Colorix, another children's programming block with aired on the 2nd French channel at the time.

Availability

Due to the nature of programming interstitials and programming blocks, Jeunes années felt into obscurity, with no image, let alone footages of Jeunes années online, that is, until Totofer77 took a look at a book talking about Casimir and the series he was featured in (Which is called « Nos années Casimir »). At one point, the book mentioned Jeunes années, and also featured screenshots of "Jeunes Années" and of the possible idents that came from it.
