Little Clowns of Happytown is an American animated television series produced by DiC and aired on ABC from September 26, 1987 to July 16, 1988, for a total of 18 episodes. The show is about the young clowns from Happytown, whose goal is to spread happiness and imbue positive mental attitudes around the world wherever they go. The only thing that stands in their way is Awful BeBad, the master of doom and gloom, and his two minions, Geek and Whiner.

The show was later released in VHS and DVD. The Mill Creek Entertainment NTSC DVD release TV Guide Spotlight: Totally '80s Toons, UK VHS and DVD releases has very few episodes.[1][2] Only the Joking Around with the Little Clowns shorts, several episodes dubbed in Arabic, and a intro of the show have surfaced and no other episodes in English has been uploaded on the Internet.

A VHSRip of a episode from the UK VHS release was recently found by a user RetroGameFan9000, aka Ethan M. Nelson on a Russian file sharing site TrackerOK.[3]

On June 7, 2016, a YouTube user named Meringue in Sugartown,USA uploaded 4 original English dub episodes of the show on YouTube but has since taken down due to the account termination.

On April 16, 2017, a YouTuber called TheMysteriousMrEnter uploaded a review of the episode "I'm Just Like You," but the original episode is still lost.[4]

On August 18, 2017, a LMW user called Awful BeBad found a Korean bootleg DVD of the show, which includes most of the lost episodes. He uploaded them on Dailymotion as private videos (the links are in the comments), with the password being "lostmediawiki.com", minus the quotation marks. The English versions of those episodes are still lost.[5]

You know there's two other Amazon UK listings which ARE available and for quite cheap... but likely not the entire run of the series. Still, for preservation efforts if anyone wants to order them:

1. http://www.a...p/B0002IAQSG (4-episode Region 2 DVD, also available through Amazon's Love Film DVD rental service)

2. http://www.a...p/B000M0C0IS (4 episode VHS)

I'd love to see the episodes. I actually have a soft spot for shows most people don't like.

Apparently there's a Korean bootleg DVD being sold. It's hard to tell what it includes but the quick translate suggests "Too Scared to Laugh" is one of the episodes on it. Maybe someone more familiar with Korean could describe the listing?

Could someone add that on April 16, 2017 (Easter Sunday), a YouTuber named The Mysterious Mr. Enter uploaded a video called "Animated Atrocities #135: Little Clowns of Happytown" and he reviewed the episode "I'm Just Like You" in it. So could someone add that info to the page & say "I'm Just Like You" is now partially found.

The TrackerOK page linked in references actually has three episodes of the Russian dub in it, which appear to be "I'm Just Like You", "Goodbye Grandma", and "Don't Tell Mom".

I ordered a Korean bootleg DVD set that had a bunch of the episodes. Here's the listing for it on the manufacturer's website: http://www.l...randuid=6118

They're all dubbed in Korean with bits of English that are accompanied by Korean subtitles. It seems like the show was repurposed in Korea to teach children English. All the songs in the episodes are in English with Korean subtitles.

I've ripped and uploaded all the episodes on the DVDs to Dailymotion. They're password protected and the password is "lostmediawiki.com" (without quotes). I had a hard time identifying some of the episodes' names as they were different from the English names, so if I got any of them wrong let me know. I made a playlist with all of the uploads, but I can't figure out how to link it since all the videos are password protected, here is all the individual links:

Because as far as I'm aware, Little Clowns of Happytown never got any sort of official DVD releases in Korea. My copy has "http://www.LGkid.com" (which now redirects to dvd.co.kr, but you can still the original site here: https://web....ww.lgkid.com) printed on the back cover. As far as I can tell, they are not an official DVD distributor. However, I don't know for sure as information on Little Clowns of Happytown and LGkid is scarce, so I could be wrong. If anyone has more info let me know.

Also, for anyone interested here is another listing for the DVD since the original listing no longer exists: http://www.g...No=219834996

The BBFC (British Board of Film Classification) have given New Dad, No Dad a rating on their website, so that likely means that it either has or was going to receive a home media release at some point. http://www.b...no-dad-video
