Pipsqueak is a Catalan childrens animated media franchise created by Josep Martin Gris and Emma Ros, produced by Cromosoma, S.A.,^[1] and animated by Animated Enterprises Hong Kong (now known as Agogo Studios). The titular character is an alien boy with a tail, wavy green hair where individual string moves like tentacles, and a blue shirt with two animated fish on it. Two series were made covering two different topics and both series consist of 52 episodes each running for 3 minutes each episode. It aired on Rai 3 in Italy^[1], Televisió de Catalunya (TV3) in Spain, and Canal Panda in Portugal.^[2]

The first series made in 1997 Pipsqueak's Planet deals with the titular character doing environmental sustainability duties and making his world a better place to live in with situations such as recycling, saving power, reducing waste, and etc. The second series made in 2000 Pipsqueak Plays Sport has the titular character exploring different sports with either playing with his friends, or watches people play sports. The series has no dialogue for the characters, only a narration provided by Selina Worsley who describes the scenes and teaches viewers about the topics that are being covered in the episode.

Despite having a small nostalgic following from back when it aired in European countries such as Italy, Portugal, and Spain in the late 1990s and early 2000s, and book releases years after the show aired. There is limited information on the franchise that can be found online.

Pipsqueak's Planet hasn’t been seen again since it lasted aired on television, nor resurfaced on any official streaming websites. Only few episodes of the show were found online in Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish on YouTube from DVR television recordings from when the show was airing.

A DVD for both series released in Asia in 2013, nearly a decade after they were first produced and aired. The DVD includes the whole series divided in four separate discs, also containing an English and Cantonese audio track, confirming an official English dub existence.^[3]

Oznoz has the first 39 episodes online, but the episodes are dubbed in Mandarin and an account registration is required to access the episodes. It's unknown if the English dub aired on television in any English-speaking countries. A minute clip of the first episode was found on YouTube in English.

A few episodes of Pipsqueak Plays Sports are on YouTube in Spanish that was uploaded from the official Cromosoma YouTube account itself. Both of the shows first episodes can be found as extras on two of the 2008 The Triplets (Las tres mellizas) DVD releases, which includes an English, Spanish, and Catalan audio track for them. YouTuber MIXXPOST who may have worked at the shows animation studio overseas, though unconfirmed, has started uploading several episodes on YouTube in higher quality, meaning it's possible he could upload the rest of the episodes and even episodes from the first series.
