Pretty Rhythm: Aurora Dream or プリティーリズムオーロラドリーム (pronounced Puritī Rizumu Ōrora Dorīmu) is a Japanese anime that initially aired in Japan on TV Tokyo from April 9, 2011 to March 31, 2012 with a total of 51 episodes. The show is based on the Pretty Rhythm arcade games developed by Syn Sophia and published by Takara Tomy. After it's Japanese release, Pretty Rhythm: Aurora Dream would receive an English dub that would air on Animax Asia from January 31 to April 11, 2014 for Southeast Asian audiences.
Synopsis
Aira Harune is a 14-year-old girl from Yokohama, Japan who chases her dream of becoming an idol. She would finally achieve that dream after being recruited by Kyoko Asechi, the head of the Prism Show agency Pretty Top, and her assistant Jun Takigawa to become a Prism Star, an idol who sings and performs through figure skating. She would later befriend Rizumu Amamiya and Mion Takamine to become the Prism Star idol group, MARs. They would face off many rivals and learn to collaborate with each other in the world of Prism Shows. Together, they must have a powerful friendship, overcome many obstacles, and become a great team to earn the titles of being the next Prism Queens.[1]
Availability
When Pretty Rhythm: Aurora Dream aired on Animax Asia in 2014, all 51 episodes have been dubbed into English. However, due to the obscurity of the Animax Asia dub, finding all of the episodes of Pretty Rhythm: Aurora Dream in English can be difficult. The original Japanese version of Pretty Rhythm: Aurora Dream has all of the episodes found online. As for the Animax Asia English dub, most of the episodes can be found online on websites such as GogoAnimeTV. Out of all 51 episodes of the Animax Asia English dub of Pretty Rhythm: Aurora Dream, only 6 episodes remain lost. As of June 6, 2023, episodes 7, 19-20, 24, and 26-27 of the Animax Asia English dub of Pretty Rhythm: Aurora Dream have yet to be found.
