Pretty Rhythm: Dear My Future or プリティーリズム・ディアマイフューチャー (pronounced Puritī Rizumu Dia Mai Fyūchā) is a Japanese anime that initially aired in Japan on TV Tokyo from April 7, 2012 to March 30, 2013 with a total of 51 episodes. The show is based on the arcade game of the same name, which was developed by Syn Sophia and published by Takara Tomy, which replaced Pretty Rhythm: Aurora Dream in Japanese arcades to tie-in with the anime. This entry was made to further expand the Pretty Rhythm franchise to South Korean audiences. Following the show's run in Japan, Pretty Rhythm: Dear My Future received an English dub that aired on Animax Asia starting on April 14, 2014 for Southeast Asian audiences.
Synopsis
Three years after the Prism Queen Cup, the Prism Star idol group MARs became famous and started to perform Prism Shows all across Japan. Then one day, a surprise challenger appears during one of their shows. A girl named Mia Ageha approaches the center stage and announces her intent to win against MARs's group leader Aira Harune. The Prism Show agency decides to recruit Mia with three other girls - Reina Miyama, Karin Shijimi, and Ayami Ooruri - to become the Prism Star idol group, Prizzmy. Mia and the other girls would eventually rival against Puretty, an idol group from South Korea. This rival group consists of five members - Hye-in, So-min, Chae-kyoung, Shi-yoon, and Jae-eun. With the power of friendship, Prizmmy will face many challenges and step up to find their future.[1]
Availability
Following the airing of Pretty Rhythm: Dear My Future in Japan, Animax Asia would air all 51 episodes with each having an English dub. Due to the Animax Asia English dub being mostly unheard of, all of the episodes of the Pretty Rhythm: Dear My Future English dub are scarce. All episodes of the original Japanese version of Pretty Rhythm: Dear My Future can easily be found online. As for the Animax Asia English dub, some of the episodes can be found online on the GogoAnimeTV website. Out of all 51 episodes of the Animax Asia English dub of Pretty Rhythm: Dear My Future, 19 episodes remain missing. As of June 8, 2023, episodes 27, and 33-50 of the Animax Asia English dub of Pretty Rhythm: Dear My Future are currently lost.
