Tetsuwan Tantei Robotack is the last installment on Toei's Metal Hero franchise. It aired between March 8th, 1998 and January 24th, 1999.
Plot
The plot followed the adventures of Robotack, a detective robot dog sent to earth to find the treasure of his homeland "Harappa Land", The Landtool. He later joins a kid named Kakeru and his uncle, Kaoru Sugi, in his Private Investigation business.[1]
Availability
Just like the previous series, B-Robo Kabutack, Robotack had never seen a DVD except for the Direct-To-Video Crossover movie with Kabutack. Unlike the Kabutack movie, the Robotack movie hasn't been subbed in English by any fansub group. However, it's easy to find the RAW on Torrent sites. The soundtrack of the show has been released on CD too.
The show did get a VHS release.[2] However, no rip of the tapes has been uploaded online, and the tapes themselves are very hard to come by. As a result, episodes of the show are very sought after among Tokusatsu fans and collectors.
On May 21st, 2018, the entire show was uploaded by GuSTaVauM to a torrent, ripped from Toei's YouTube channel.
