Harold Bell Wright wrote the novel, The Shepherd of the Hills in 1907. It would go on to sell over a million copies, be adapted to the stage, and have multiple film adaptations created.[1]

Production

Author Harold Bell Wright was heavily involved in the production of the film and even made casting decisions, choosing his neighbor Cathrine Curtis as the lead actress.[2][3]

Availability

The film was based on a novel that was incredibly popular at the time of release and had a wide release. Turner Classic Movies has an entry for it in it's movie database.[4] It is conceivable that a print of the film still exists in either a film archive or in a private collection considering its cultural impact.
