As of June 2018, almost two years after the song was debuted live, the studio version and music video have yet to be released to the public. Frontman Tyson Ritter stated in November 2016 that he was "beating my head against the wall patiently waiting for the right treatment" of the music video.<ref>https://twitter.com/tysonritter/status/797245691777011712</ref> In December of that year, Ritter teased the music video excitedly by revealing two stills from a lookbook describing the video's style.<ref>https://twitter.com/tysonritter/status/809215772736110592</ref> Since then, neither he or the other members have mentioned the single. Little is known about why the song or music video has yet to be released publicly.

In Summer 2017, the band released a 2-song EP titled ''Sweat'' that did not feature the song, and are reportedly working on a new studio recording. It can be assumed that the music video was left unfinished, and the release of the song itself has been abandoned due to the band moving on to new projects.
