"SHABU", as what viewers call it, was a supposedly Filipino anti-drug PSA only recalled by eyewitnesses. It is known to be disturbing to viewers due to its content.

Premise

The commercial starts off with a black background and a Styrofoam-like human-shaped figure and it slowly dissolves from a liquid dropping from above, supposedly an acid. After it dissolved, the word SHABU was shown above it. There is said to be no voiceover and only eerie background music.[1][2]

Availability

The said PSA supposedly aired only on IBC-13 during anime and tokusatsu shows around 6:00pm. The PSA claims to be aired from the early 1990s to the late 1990s, with one eyewitness claiming the PSA aired in 1986 or 1987.[3] The PSA hasn't yet resurfaced and remains lost to this day.
