Sometime between August and September 2020, the Canadian cable channel Game TV aired a promo announcing that Beat Shazam would be part of their prime time schedule starting September 22nd, 2020. While this may not come as a surprise to some, but the promo that the channel aired includes a never before seen clip of Lovato's cut appearance was shown for only two seconds before cutting to the contestants from a different episode. With the clip appearing in the promo, this has lead to speculation that the episode that was slated to air on July 24th, 2018 will air on Game TV with Lovato's appearance intact. But it was unknown when the episode will air or if Game TV actually have the original episode.<ref>https://www.igametv.com/shows/2361/</ref>

Beat Shazam is a game show created by Jeff Apploff and Wes Kauble and premiered on Fox on May 15th, 2017. The show is hosted by singer and actor Jamie Foxx and is similar to Name That Tune only the contestants have to name a tune faster than the app Shazam. While the show still airs new episodes, one episode has a celebrity appearance edited out.

The episode in question had singer and former Disney star Demi Lovato make a walk on guest appearance. This was not uncommon for episodes of the show as many celebrities had walk on appearances in the past like Empire actor Terrance Howard, rapper M.C. Hammer, Snoop Dogg and singer Michael Bolton. The episode was slated to air on July 24th, 2018, but earlier that day, Lovato overdosed on opioids and was rushed to Cedars-Sani Medical Center,[1] she recovered later that day.[2]

The episode was pulled and Fox aired a different episode in it's place. The episode eventuality aired on September 11th, 2018 with Lovato's appearance edited out. Her appearance has never been released and the only evidence of her appearance is a Season Two promo and several production photos. The Season Two promo that had a clip of her appearance has since been taken down.
