The famous '''Betty Boop '''series of cartoons is unfortunately yet another victim of having missing shorts. Two shorts from 1938 have disappeared and remain at large to this day.''' "Honest Love and True"''' is said to place Betty in the role of a worker at a Klondike saloon, while''' "Buzzy Boop at the Concert"''' is most likely about Betty's cousin, Buzzy, causing her usual mischief at a concert.

OF the 90 cartoons produced in the famous '''''Betty Boop''''' series from 1930 to 1939, there were two that remained unaccounted for for many years following their release. The first short, '''"Honest Love and True"''', was released in 1938, and placed Betty in the role of a worker at a Klondike saloon. It is rumored to have been included in the 1942-1943 16mm film rental catalog for Films Incorporated, but this claim has not yet been confirmed.

Reputable animation historian Jerry Beck had regarded both of these shorts as lost, but in early 2017, he revealed UCLA had found a print of "Honest Love and True", albeit with no audio. It was restored and screened at the UCLA's Festival of Preservation that year. "Buzzy Boop at the Concert" was later located in Russia in 2019 and preserved by Asifa-Hollywood and The UCLA Film and Television Archive in 2020. At time of writing, neither cartoon are available for public viewing.

The first short, "Honest Love and True", was released in 1938, and placed Betty in the role of a worker at a Klondike saloon. "Buzzy Boop at the Concert" (the second short, also from 1938) was most likely about Betty's tomboy cousin, Buzzy, wreaking havoc at a concert. Very little is known about this short beyond this surmised premise.
