The Genie Family (ハクション大魔王 Hakushon Daimaō) is an anime comedy series made by Tatsunoko Production that lasted from October 5, 1969, to September 27, 1970, with a total of 52 episodes on Fuji TV. It tells the story of a boy who finds a bottle with a mysterious power - each time its user sneezes or yawns, a genie will come up and must grant the user's wish.

In 1992, Saban Entertainment acquired the rights to make an English dub made in Montreal, Canada under the name Bob in a Bottle. The dub was not shown in America but was shown on YTV in Canada, the Seven Network in Australia, and TV2 in New Zealand. The English intro is viewable here (the series was subtitled in Portugal). A clip of the English dub was also shown at Anime Boston 2011, and is also viewable here. Part of the Saban dub is also available with Portuguese subtitles.

However, no full episodes of the dub are available online. There are also Hebrew, German, and Spanish versions of the Saban dub-based intros available for viewing. Both Brazilian Portuguese dubs ([Saban] and [SBT]) are also available. In one of Saban's other productions, Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, clips of the dub can be seen in the episodes "A Bad Reflection on You" (8:57-9:34) and "The Power Stealer" (19:28-19:33).

Likewise, there's another English dub called The Sneezing Magician was made for Cartoon Network's Asian feed in the late 90s. It is unknown if these English dub episodes survived along with the aforementioned Saban dub.
