Bop It Download was a Windows-exclusive program that was released along with the Bop It Download game. The game itself could be plugged into the computer via USB. The program could be used to record your own voice or download music, sounds, and voices from the internet onto the game itself.[1]

The program could be downloaded at www.playbopit.com when the toy first came out, but in mid-2012, the website shut down and the program became lost. The program may still be available online via a download site, but many sites that claim to have this software are filled with viruses, so caution should be used if one wants to attempt finding the program virus-free.

Availability

The Windows-exclusive program had remained lost until it was found by YouTube user Bop It Freak on July 19th, 2017. The program works exactly as before it was lost, but as for the July 19th release, lacks any kind of music or sounds. A person could record their voice though. On August 5th, 2017, Bop It Freak found and added the DAT file for the "Country Bumpkin" voice. Bop It Freak also posted a reconstruction of the "Hard Rock" song between August of 2017 and February of 2018.
