Brand Sins (partially lost deleted videos from YouTube channel; 2015-2017)
Brand Sins is an American YouTube channel which was a spin-off channel to the popular YouTube channel, CinemaSins.
Background
CinemaSins was created by Jeremy Scott[1] and Chris Atkinson[2] on December 12, 2012, known for its series, "Everything Wrong With", whereby scathing commentary is given in the form of "sins" on various movies of different genres, through the nitpicking of its details. Due to the success of the original channel, CinemaSins spun off various channels which use the same format, albeit for different forms of media. One of these channels was Brand Sins, which was created on October 8, 2014, nitpicking on various companies and personalities instead[3][4].
The channel released videos from 2014 to 2016, before revamping its format in 2017, with the last video, "Everything Wrong With Twitter", released on January 27, 2018, becoming inactive since[5]. Throughout the channel's run, a couple of videos were deleted, rendering them lost.
Lost Videos
- Everything Wrong With MTV
Originally released on September 11, 2015, it was deleted some time after due to copyright issues. Some of the sins given to MTV were for its channel decay from airing music videos, the Beavis and Butt-Head incident whereby the show allegedly caused an Ohio child to burn down his house, the channel's terrible shows, and the ban placed on certain music videos. This video has not surfaced as of yet, with it not being archived on the Wayback Machine[6].
- Everything Wrong With Rodan and Fields
While not much is known about this privated video, it was released on February 12, 2016, with nitpicking on the American skincare company. This video has also not been archived on the Wayback Machine[7].
Due to the slightly negative reception of the Brand Sins videos, and CinemaSins itself disassociating from Brand Sins (due to the channel no longer being listed as part of Sins Media[8]), it seems unlikely for these two videos to surface anytime soon. The only way these videos can resurface is if they were downloaded by fans before their deletion.
