A bunyip, also known as a kianpraty, is an Aboriginal mythology creature that was known to have lived in swamps, creeks, billabongs, riverbeds, & waterholes all around Australia. In the Wemba-Wemba language, the name of the creature means "devil", or "evil spirit". The legend of this creature has inspired several pieces of media to exist based on it, such as the Bunyip song from ''Dot And the Kangaroo'', a local weekly newspaper published in Gawler, South Australia under the same name, & '''a 1987 Australian animated series created by Anne Jollifee.'''
