It's convenient that the person recording it felt the need to blast "It Takes Two" and thus drowned out the show's audio. You think if someone had gone to the effort to set up '80s broadcast equipment they'd at least know to turn down the music. However, that's a great way to ensure no one can compare the voices to Montreal actors of the time or, you know, the various Doraemon fandubs Colin has made.

Also, are we supposed to believe no one at Cinar objected to a scene where Nobita has a realistic-looking gun pointed at his head? Even worse, it seems like Doraemon is trying to taunt him into pulling the trigger ... Given the show, that gun is likely some gag, but still, even for the '80s that seems like something they'd cut. {{DISPLAYTITLE:

I'd be surprised if Colin's video is real. He can't cite (https://planetweiler.tumblr.com/post/190945236427/where-did-you-find-the-albert-and-sydney-footage) the website he got it from, which is odd. I'm assuming this clip is supposed to be from a broadcast master because instead of a station bug we have a ticker. Consumer-grade VCRs (especially of the era) would not produce something that crisp looking. Outside of the chroma bleed, it looks really clean for a tape from the '80s in general.

It's convenient that the person recording it felt the need to blast "It Takes Two" and thus drowned out the show's audio. You think if someone had gone to the effort to set up '80s broadcast equipment they'd at least know to turn down the music. However, that's a great way to ensure no one can compare the voices to Montreal actors of the time or, you know, the various Doraemon fandubs Colin has made (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rMPnjMpEBeQ&list=PLmR8d_D7J6fg0vRG6G46aSqivn2UpoiVj).
