Status: Partially Found

The 1995 Cybersix live-action television series is an adaptation of the popular 1992 comic book series of the same name. The live-action series was poorly received and was soon cancelled, the entire series has since been lost, however, the first episode survives on the interwebs[1]. Clips of the series can also be found online, making this a partially found media.

Plot

The story for the live-action series is generally conveyed to be the same as the comic book series. It follows Cybersix, a genetically-engineered super soldier designated 6th in the Cyber Series, who at a young age was able to escape the massacre of her brothers and sisters, ordered by her evil creator, Doctor von Reichter. She runs away to the city of Meridiana where she lives a double life, hiding as a high school literature teacher by day, and by night she fights against her father and fellow brethren, the creations sent by von Reichter to destroy her. She fights to protect her city, to protect her friends and allies, as well as the unknowing inhabitants.[2]

History

The series was produced in 1995, the screenplay written by Rodríguez, as well as the series' original creators, Carlos Meglia and Carlos Trillo. The series stars model Carolina Pelleritti as the lead character, Cybersix; Claudio Passano as the love interest, Lucas Amato; Verónica Ponieman as the student Lori Anderson; and Rodrigo De la Serna as the villain José.

The first episode premiered on 15 March 1995 on the television channel, Telefe, in Argentina. And the last episode aired two months later in May of the same year. The series was cancelled due to low ratings. The original language is in Latin American Spanish, and it has never been aired internationally. It is not known if the entire series has been archived or recorded at the time of its airing. A possible home recording of the first episode was uploaded onto YouTube in 2013 but was removed sometime in the same year.[3]
