While it was never officially released, it was used in some promo material for the film before its release. Due to Prince's high efforts to have none of his music on YouTube or other such sites, the song was generally tough to find until he passed away in 2016. The song was eventually released on an unofficial bootleg album titled ''The Work Volume 3''.<ref>[https://www.discogs.com/Prince-The-Work-Volume-3/release/7618383 Discogs listing for ''The Work Volume 3''.] Retrieved 15 Apr '18</ref>

It was also originally posted to YouTube and music sharing sites, but all traces of it were deleted with cease and desists from Warner.

The quality is not the best, being in MP3 and sounding like it was recorded externally, but it is still very listenable though, way more than other bootlegs.
