Dove Awards: Bob and Larry segments (partially found footage from award show; 1996-1997)
The Dove Awards are awards given to achievements in the Christian music industry, similar to the Grammys. During the 27th and 28th Annual Dove Awards, Big Idea Entertainment, creator of the hit children's series VeggieTales, was given the Dove Award for Children's Music Album of the Year for their album, "A Very Veggie Christmas".[1] Both Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber made appearances (in CGI form) at the show to accept the awards in 1996 and 1997.
Availability
Two of the segments from the show were previously only available in audio form from an older version of ultimateveggie.com, a VeggieTales fansite.[2] A list of Dove Awards DVDs suggest that video footage exists on the DVDs for the 1996 and 1997 shows.[3]
On October 29th, 2020, Racelympics bought two Dove Awards DVDs from said site and ripped footage of two clips of Bob and Larry's appearances at the 27th and 28th Annual Awards DVD. Mr. Lunch then uploaded the clips to YouTube. The other segment that is only available in audio form is still missing the visuals, and it's unknown if other segments (aside from these three) exist in some form.
