Status: Partially Lost

Faux Pause was a television program that aired on Game Show Network from June 22nd to August 1st, 1998. It was similar to Mystery Science Theater 3000 as two hosts (Sean Donnellan and Mary Gallagher) react to an episode of a game show that is considered to be very infamous. The show didn't last very long and was cancelled by Fall 1998.

Availability

The exact number of episodes that were produced was unknown until producer Frank Nicotero revealed in a November 2013 Facebook post that there were 22 episodes produced.[1] The show's intro is a compilation of many game show logos (logos of the shows that Sean and Mary react to). The logos being Fantasy, Hold Everything!, I've Got A Secret, What's My Line?, To Tell The Truth, Beat The Clock and Personality led to speculation that these seven shows did have episodes and never surfaced. However, only 20 episodes are accountable and have information about the episodes with the seven shows having zero to no accountable information. It was unknown if these seven shows did have episodes or if they were placeholders until a July 1998 Google groups chat was unearthed in January 2022 and revealed that only 20 episodes were made[2]. So far only 12 episodes of Faux Pause have been found, the rest of the series remains lost.
