Homunculus Attempt (aka the ScareTheater egg video) is a deleted video by popular horror YouTuber Eric Wise AKA ScareTheater. It was uploaded sometime between June 6th and June 16th 2016 where he attempts to debunk the infamous YouTube video How to make a homunculus (Homunculus #1) by YouTuber Как Cделать, which he later took down due to the ridicule he was receiving.

On November 16th, 2015, Russian YouTuber Как Сделать uploaded the infamous YouTube video How to make a homunculus (Homunculus #1) where he showed alleged instructions on how to make a homunculus (a miniature, fully formed human). Almost immediately, the video gained attention, with popular horror YouTubers Mr. Nightmare and ReignBotHorror making analysis/debunking videos on the subject, with ScareTheater eventually making one, due to the videos notoriety. However, unlike Mr. Nightmares and ReignBots videos, where they discussed the science behind the experiment and why it couldn't feasibly work, ScareTheater took it one step further and followed the videos instructions on how to make a homunculus himself, before ending the video by stating he would make a follow-up video in 45 days, by which time the homunculus would have fully developed.

Many people found the content of the video unintentionally humorous, with particular accidental comedy coming from the part of the video where he injected his own semen into an egg via a syringe, with Eric eventually taking the video down due to the ridicule he was receiving. The video has never been reuploaded by Scaretheater himself or any other YouTubers. Reddit user 35Fuckup is confirmed to own a copy of the video, and he attempted to make it available for download in at one point via Google Drive. Said download link didn't work, however, and he hasn't mentioned the video anywhere since.

On November 4th, 2017, the video has resurfaced on the internet with the help of YouTube user Youtube Mirrors who has reuploaded it on his YouTube account, however, was quickly taken down. The video can still be found in the Internet Archive.
