The assassination of John F. Kennedy in 1963 has a multitude of conspiracy surrounding it. It has been hypothesized that a '''second filming of the assassination''', (one from a different angle) would answer the long-asked question of whether there is or is not a second shooter responsible for JFK's death, is in existence.  Unfortunately, said the hypothetical film has not been seen since a House Select Committee in 1978 on assassinations.  It was reportedly filmed by Orville Nix who then sold the film to the UPI agency in 1963 for $5,000 believing that it would be returned in 25 years.  During those years, it was turned over to the US government for the Warren Commission, among other things.  However, the film has not seen the light of day since 1978 and its current whereabouts, aside from the general assumption that has not left the hands of the US government, are unknown.

Second Filming of JFK Assassination
Status Existence Unconfirmed

The assassination of John F. Kennedy in 1963 has a multitude of conspiracy surrounding it. It has been hypothesized that a second filming of the assassination, (one from a different angle) would answer the long-asked question of whether there is or is not a second shooter responsible for JFK's death, is in existence. Unfortunately said, the hypothetical film has not been seen since a House Select Committee in 1978 on assassinations.

In 2015, granddaughter to Nix, Gayle Nix Jackson, sued the US government, specifically the National Archives, for 10 million dollars to see the return of the film while also claiming it to be as important as the Zapruder film.

The film itself, if it does indeed exist, could hold vital evidence in regards to if JFK's gunman acted alone or if there was a second shooter on the other side of Dealey Plaza.

I feel this should be under existence unconfirmed since the wording of the article suggest it hasn't been officially confirmed that there is a second film tape of his assassination

I've done some quick research on this, and will do some more later, but one of the biggest things I've found is that it actually does exist. It's been used in at least one documentary, which can be accessed online. However, it looks like the full film has never been released in public and the original tape is physically lost, so it would still have a place on this site.

I'm not an expert on this subject so maybe I'm missing something, but is this the film? https://www....=3Kob0zzDuuE

If so - obviously its existence would be 100% confirmed, and its status could be updated to at least "partially found".

Yeah, from the descriptions I read about it, plus a couple screenshots, that looks to be it. I actually did a bit more research , and it looks like that link has the full tape, and the film was never lost. Like I said earlier, the original tape is physically lost somewhere along the lines, but over the years people made copies. This link has some more info on it, plus a video of the tape where the frame is not moving up and down: http://emuse...8440b9879bf5

It shouldn't even be on this site really, because the footage was never lost. Closest thing it is to lost is somewhere along the lines someone lost the original, but tons of copies were made.

This needs a little of data to be added, and be moved to ¨partially found¨.

Why is it in existence unconfirmed either thought it says it’s confirmed it exists?

After a bit of reading online, it seems very clear that this is only describing the original print of the Orville Nix film.
