While the commercials aired from 1977 onward are available on the internet as seen [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P_7CJLhKWig here], the earlier commercials aired between 1973 and 1976 is somewhat absent from the Internet. There are possibilities that there are no recorded footage of the commercial due to many people in Japan at the time didn't own any recording media other than Cassette Tapes which only has a capability of recording sound. However, due to the fact that the Japanese branch of McDonald's has the data for the air date of the 1st commercial, it is likely that the company owns the print.

Several people who have saw the commercial at the time states that it was a bizarre, comedic live-action commercial which never looked like a restaurant commercial. One of the commercials seemed to involve Ronald McDonald rowing a wooden boat on the river, but the boat quickly lands on the shore without Ronald's notice.
