Mortal Kombat X: Generations would be a prequel antecedent of the events that culminates the plot from the game Mortal Kombat X.
The story starts 20 years into the future of the 2011 retcon, emphasizing a new generation cast of offspring from the veterans characters of the franchise and other new characters like D'vorah and Erron Black in an anthology format like the past seasons of Mortal Kombat: Legacy.[2]
