Status: Inaccessible

Need for Speed: World was a racing video game and the fifteenth installment in the Need for Speed video game series released on July 20th, 2010 for those who purchased Starter Pack and in July 27th, 2010 for all players. It was made by EA Black Box (rebranded into Quicklime Games before closing) and EA Singapore. Need for Speed: World was set in the fictional Tri-City (a combination of cities from Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2005) and Carbon.) with redesigned graphics and locations of the maps in addition to MMO elements. It had over 150+ cars from almost all Need for Speed games.

The Game, sadly, was closed by EA on July 14, 2015 alongside Battlefield Heroes, Battlefield Play4Free, and FIFA World. Though there is an Offline Server created by the members of the elitepvp community, the game is no longer downloadable from the Official site and all Online infrastructures are down.

Before it was internationally relased on July 27th 2010, several pre-production betas had place in Taiwan and China in 2009 and 2010. Some Torrent sites hosted Chinese/Taiwanese builds, but they're inaccessible due to their beta status and they're not obviously compatible with the Offline Server. Some Screenshots have been made, alongside a trailer which shows Most Wanted/Carbon Police Cruiser that was replaced with a Dodge Charger SRT-8 Super Bee later in development. Any other information about these Betas are scarce.
