It was operational from June 7th, 1990 to April 30th, 2005 after declining in popularity and usefulness in the early 2000s. When it first opened, Nickelodeon aired a special for the event simply titled Nickelodeon Studios Opening Day Celebration. The event was hosted by several Nick personalities, such as Double Dare host Marc Summers.[1]
