History

Peppermint Park was an American direct-to-video children's show released in 1987. Six volumes of the series were released. The show had many similarities to Sesame Street, in that it was a mixture of live action and puppets. Characters included Ernie, who sang a song about the letter M, and Piggle, a pig with a big appetite. The show's most recent mentioning was in a crossover with PhantomStrider and Blameitonjorge on the Top 10 Creepiest Kids Characters video, and user User IcyRoserade has uploaded a majority of the tapes to YouTube.

The series was directed and produced by John Horton and Mark V. Productions. The puppets were created by Dann O'Quinn. Six episodes, one per volume, were released by Televidics Productions. The show contained puppets that would teach children letters, numbers, and other educational subjects. It also contained short animated and live action segments like Sesame Street as well. Most likely due to very poor sales and negative reviews, the series was cut short and was cancelled sometime in 1988. The six volumes additionally went out of print at this point as well.
