Pocket Monsters Encore) was an hour-long New Year's special for the popular anime series Pokémon that was set to air on December 31st, 1997 between episodes 39 and 40. It likely would have been a simple recap of all of the show's most notable events up to that point, but was ultimately cancelled due to the fallout of the infamous "Pokémon seizure incident" that occurred earlier that month due to "Computer Warrior Porygon". It also likely used footage from the said episode.
