Sagwa, The Chinese Siamese Cat was an animated educational show created by Amy Tan and produced by CinéGroupe and Sesame Workshop that originally aired on PBS from September 3rd, 2001 to October 5th, 2002 for a total of 40 episodes (79 total segments). It followed the misadventures of Sagwa, her two siblings, and occasionally their friends as they went to various locations and learned more about their history, China's residents, and even themselves.

Despite the show's fairly short run, it was very successful and popular, winning four awards and generally getting good ratings on the network. Consequently, the show stayed on the network long after the original run, with reruns lasting until late 2008.

Availability

While the show was generally a success, only 24 segments were released on VHS/DVD, meaning that less than half of the show's episodes were released on any official home media. Additionally, 16 segments (five of which were also released on home media) are available on TFO's French website, but they are region-locked to Canada. ThomasUltimate1213 had uploaded some of the episodes to youtube with original english audio.

Due to the show's popularity, however, many Youtubers have collectively uploaded nearly every episode online for people to view. A list of lost and found episodes can be viewed below.
