In 2012, Bandai Namco created a website called Shiftylook, aiming to revive old and forgotten franchises in the form of web projects – starting out with comics and eventually moving to games and webtoons. In early 2014, it was announced that the site and all things related to it were going to be taken down due to Bandai Namco succeeding in their mission of making a character popular enough to be revived outside of the site – in this case, Wonder Momo, which was picked up by WayForward Technologies for the mobile game and sequel Wonder Momo: Typhoon Booster.
Later that year, the site was taken down and, along with it, the webcomics, the visual novel Namco High and a mobile Bravoman game based on the comics. The site's YouTube channel was up until 2016, but this was also taken down in time, leading the webtoons to then have the same fate as the rest of the site.
Despite the site's closure, three books – one based on Bravoman, one based on Wonder Momo and one based on Katamari – are still available for purchase and contain the first dozen comics from their respective titles. Additionally, a reupload of Namco High is currently available here.
In 2016, the entirety of the Bravoman webtoon was uploaded to YouTube on fan-made channel ShiftyLook Forever, as was its related promotional videos, including official commentary and a trailer for the mobile game Bravoman: Binja Bash. The channel uploaded the Mappy webtoon soon after, but has not yet uploaded the Wonder Momo animated series. These uploads can be found here.
The Wonder Momo series, as well as rips and subtitles for the aforementioned Mappy and Bravoman webtoons, was uploaded to Mediafire by the user WebComicArchiver. This Mediafire upload also includes all of Shiftylook's previously lost comics. Thus, comprehensively, the comics that the upload includes are as follows; Bravoman, Dig Dug, Dragon Spirit, Galaga, Katamari, Klonoa: Dream Traveler of Noctis Sol, Valkyrie, Wagan Land, Wonder Momo, Xevious, Tower of Babel, Sky Kid, Scar, Rocket Fox, Rapid Thunder, Golly Ghost, Dirk Davies and Alien Confidential, the first nine of which are available in both English and Japanese. The upload in question can be accessed and downloaded here.
