Snavely (sometimes referred to as Chateau Snavely) was a pilot episode for a US version of Fawlty Towers. It aired on June 24th, 1978 and did not spawn a series. Harvey Korman, supporting roles in many of Mel Brooks' movies, played the title role. The pilot included ideas from Fawlty Towers episodes The Hotel Inspectors and The Germans. No footage is known to be included in any looks at Fawlty Towers (as opposed to a full, unaired German remake Hotel Zum letzten Kliff) but the script resides in the library of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.[1]
