Status: Lost

Sunny Orange was a Filipino concentrated juice drink produced by Foodworld Manufacturing from the 1970s to the late 1990s. It is known for its catchy jingle and several commercials were made advertising the product such as one starring Jimmy Santos & Ruby Rodriguez in the early 90s[1], a Chinese version of the jingle[2], and one known for its jingle and described as more low-budget said to be aired in the 70s which soon became iconic.

Information

This ad was said to have been aired in the mid to late 70s[3] and described as being made on a low budget, thus having modest production values compared to other commercials. The said commercial, according to a recreation shows a montage of Sunny Orange bottles with different flavors and with the drink being poured to a spoon and being mixed on a glass. Below are the lyrics to the jingle:

Sunny orange I love you
Lemon, grapes, and strawberry.
Sunny orange
Tasty drink
Sunny orange
Super quality

Availability

As with the equally iconic Seiko Wallet ads, the commercial for Sunny Orange has been frequently discussed in Filipino internet circles since the 2000s, especially on the PinoyExchange forums. GMA News TV (now GTV)'s show Ang Pinaka mentioned these in their "Classic Commercial Jingles" in their episode.[4] They were also unable to obtain a copy of the commercial.

When the Sunny Orange brand was revived in 2020, they acknowledged their iconic jingle on their website.[5] However, the commercials remains lost to this day.
